The review considers Fahey’s longstanding engagement with domestic life, social expectations and the changing position of women, alongside the distinctive visual language that has defined her practice across more than seven decades.

She enlarges the moral significance of whatever is closest at hand until the very familiarity of it makes looking away almost impossible.”
