John Pule's New Exhibition Featured on New Zealand Arts Review

John Pule’s latest exhibition, the first incision I saw I dreamt no more, is the subject of a recent review by arts writer John Daly-Peoples for New Zealand Arts Review.

Daly-Peoples explores the ways Pule transforms flora, fauna and the landscapes of Niue into richly imagined worlds, where botanical forms become both surreal and mythological. He considers the exhibition as a journey of discovery and rediscovery, tracing the connections between land, memory, mythology and Pule’s own physical, spiritual and artistic journeys.

The exhibition is on view at Gow Langsford Onehunga until 5 September 2026.
