Max Gimblett with his wife Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett have donated 275 artist's books to the Getty Research Institute which has one of the largest art and architecture libraries in the world.
“I began writing and drawing in the blank pages of second-hand books when I was seven years old. Working in sketchbooks and journals has been the consistent and constant thread throughout my life,” Max notes.
Max was interviewed and featured on 1News over the weekend discussing this with Anna Burns-Francis, watch the full interview here and read more about this momentous acquisition here.
