As we welcome 2026, both of our gallery spaces will be undergoing maintenance throughout January. During this period, opening hours will vary and some visits will be by appointment only. Please see the details below for each location and make sure to check our website for updated exhibition dates and temporary closures.
ONEHUNGA
Thursday 15th – Saturday 17th January: Open with regular hours, with the final days of our Annual Summer Exhibition.
Monday 19th - Friday 30th January: Closed for maintenance. Visits can be arranged by appointment only.
Saturday 31st January: Regular opening hours resume, with the public opening for our first solo exhibition of sculptural work by South Korean artist Lee Bae, from 2-4pm. Further information on this exhibition to be shared soon.
AUCKLAND CITY
Monday 12th January – early February: Open by appointment only while remedial work is carried out at the gallery entrance. We appreciate your patience during this time and look forward to welcoming visitors back to the space once works are complete.
Please note that the City Gallery will be closed this Saturday 17th January, and both galleries will be closed over Auckland Anniversary Weekend, 24–26 January.
