Gow Langsford is pleased to announce its representation of emerging artist Claudia Kogachi, marking an exciting new chapter for the gallery.
Claudia Kogachi's captivating works blend contemporary visual language with deeply personal narratives, offering poignant reflections on identity, relationships, and memory. Her art often incorporates those closest to her, drawing on intimate connections and experiences that resonate universally. Among the highlights of her career, Kogachi has been featured in several key group exhibitions, where her works have been met with praise for their emotional depth and striking visual language. Her awards and recognitions further underline her rising stature in the art world, marking her as one of New Zealand’s most promising contemporary artists.
Anna Jackson, Director of Gow Langsford, expressed her enthusiasm: “I have followed Claudia’s work since first being impressed by it at Artspace in 2020, and I am thrilled to now represent such a talented artist. Her ability to explore her own personal narratives in such a powerful and vulnerable way sets her apart, and we are excited to bring her work to a wider audience.”
Kogachi will have her first solo exhibition with the gallery in 2026, a highly anticipated event that will showcase her new body of work. In the meantime, she will be included in a group exhibition New Ways of Being opening Tuesday 28 January at our City Gallery alongside Grace Wright, Aiko Robinson and Hannah Valentine.
