We are thrilled to share that we raised $60,750 from Art For Good; a collaborative chairty art auction. 100% of the proceeds are being donated to the much deserving Aotearoa charity, Kindness Collective. Ben Plumbly from Art+Object led the live auction event held at our Onehunga flagship gallery on Thursday 7 November; with highlights including Grace Wright's Un Portail Vers La Terre fetching $7,000, Chris Heaphy's Ask The Day fetching $6,750, John Pule's Untitled fetching $9,000 and Dick Frizzell's Onehunga Buoys bringing in $8,250.
With that total we have provided 871 families with shopping at the Joy Store and families living in Women's Refuge safe houses a large food box for Christmas week. 1,008 children will receive 3 toys each from the Christmas Joy Store - alternatively expressed as 3,037 children getting presents from the Joy Store - or 9,111 presents.
Thank you to the 12 artists who donated their time and artwork for the cause and our generous sponsors Art+Object, Sawmill Brewery, Craggy Range and Studio Art Supplies.
