We are delighted to announce that we are now representing internationally acclaimed Australian artist Patricia Piccinini. Her first solo exhibition with Gow Langsford Gallery will take place in September. Her work will also be included in a group exhibition in April.
Piccinini has developed a broad following for her hybrid figurative sculptures though her practice extends into a diverse range of media including drawing, photography, video, and large-scale installation. Recently, she has been working in drawing painting alongside sculpture.
Born in Sierra Leone in 1965, Piccinini moved to Australia as a child in 1972. She studied painting at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, graduating in 1991. Subsequently, she has developed a stellar reputation in the international art scene. Representing Australia at the 2003 Venice Biennale is among her many career highlights.
While her inaugural solo exhibition with Gow Langsford is yet to come, some of Patricia’s extraordinary works are currently available. Find more information here.
