Group Exhibition
This exhibition highlights a range of conceptual practices and a diversity of medium within our stable of artists and we are pleased to be offering new works by many of our artists including among others, Grace Wright, André Hemer, John Pule, Max Gimblett, Virginia Leonard, Paul Dibble, Chris Heaphy and Dick Frizzell.
Since 2007 the Auckland Art Fair has been a significant event in the Gallery calendar. There have since been nine iterations in different venues, each presenting their own challenges and rewards. The last fair in 2021 is particularly memorable having been closed prematurely by a snap lockdown that saw the art world convene afterhours to pack out the fair, well into the small hours of the night.
Although not unexpected, it is disappointing that this year’s fair has also been affected. As we have now all become accustomed to change, this exhibition is a pivot on the planned show and is a combination of some of the works that were set to be included in our presentation at the fair and those that were planned to be included in this group exhibition.
