Allen Maddox: Survey Exhibition

Allen Maddox is a major survey exhibition of the late artist’s career with over fifty works exhibited at both Gow Langsford Gallery and John Leech Gallery. The exhibition is timed with the launch of a new catalogue of the same title.

This illustrated catalogue published by Gow Langsford Gallery features a contribution by leading art writer Ian Wedde and represents the first and only comprehensive monograph on the late artist’s oeuvre to date. With a career spanning over three decades, Allen Maddox remains one of New Zealand’s most recognised and influential abstract artists. This book celebrates that career and provides the opportunity for readers to explore these unique works informed by insightful accounts of the artist by Wedde and close friend and fellow artist, Richard McWhannell.
