Exhibition Opening: Yafeng Duan

Join us for the opening of Yafeng Duan's new exhibition at our Auckland City Gallery on 12 May from 5-7pm.

This exhibition brings together new and recent works by Chinese born, Berlin based painter Yafeng Duan, developed in the wake of a 20-day visit to Aotearoa New Zealand, a period that has left a lasting imprint on her perception of colour, atmosphere, and natural phenomena. In these works, colour becomes more than a visual register; it is experienced as something embodied and affective, shaped by encounters with shifting skies, rain, fog, and the subtle intensity of light.
