Artist Talk: Sara Hughes
Join us from 2-3pm on Saturday 22 November for an artist talk with Sara Hughes, as she discusses her new exhibition Colour Memories.
Developed over several years, Colour Memories is a deeply personal and reflective body of work shaped by ideas of memory, influence, and artistic lineage. Marking a milestone moment in her life and practice, Hughes looks closely at how her childhood, family, and life-long engagement with art have informed her creative journey.
In this talk, Hughes will share insights into her process and the women artists who have profoundly shaped her thinking and making, some encountered from afar, others through personal connection, and many through sustained admiration over time. Together, these influences form the foundation of a cross-generational conversation, exploring how artistic ideas are absorbed, reinterpreted, and carried forward through time.
Free entry, no RSVP required.
On-street parking available around the area. Wheelchair accessible.
Please note this event will be standing room only in the gallery.
