Sydney Contemporary 2024 | Booth C02

Carriageworks, Sydney, 5 - 8 September 2024

Gow Langsford Gallery returns to Sydney Contemporary, bringing with it a rich tapestry of talent cultivated over the years. The central focus of the booth is two new bodies of work by sculptors Virginia Leonard and Mattia Bosco alongside artists from the gallery stable.

This marks Italian Bosco’s debut showing in Australia. His elegant marble sculptures combine balance and harmony with concept and form displaying a deep understanding and connection to the materials in which he uses.

Drawing on our legacy of showcasing the finest art from Aotearoa and aboard, our presentation includes works by young talent Hugo Koha Lindsay, works by newly represented Chinese born, Berlin based abstract painter, Yafeng Duan, alongside sculptors Brett Graham, David McCracken and Lisa Roet, and painters John Pule, Dale Frank, James Cousins, Antonio Murado, Shane Cotton, Reuben Paterson and Colin McCahon.

Gow Langsford will also present a 1992 painting by famed US artist Julian Schnabel. He has been a leading painter of New York Neo-expressionism over the last four decades, and is also a highly accomplished filmmaker.
