Oceania is a curated exhibition that groups together works by artists from the Pacific region. The grouping of historical artefacts with contemporary works elucidates some of the recurrent themes that have occupied artists from the region over the decades. In particular, ancestry, mythology and history are explored in a variety of mediums.

The diversity of cultures across the region has, not surprisingly, resulted in a diversity of art and artefacts produced over the centuries; each piece offering its own story, evoking the history and heritage of the place and people it references.
